Senior Backend engineer
- Design and develop the technical architecture of the backend systems, including databases, APIs, microservices, and integration layers, to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Project managers, frontend developers, and Product designers, to define backend requirements, APIs, and data models.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to automate deployment processes, manage infrastructure resources, and ensure scalability and availability of backend services.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in backend development and architecture.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of backend solutions using modern technologies and best practices.
- Optimize backend performance, latency, and reliability through monitoring, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, architectural guidelines, and software development methodologies across backend development teams.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and provide technical guidance and support to the development team.
Requirement and Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience of 5+ years as a backend developer, with a focus on technical architecture, in a SaaS or cloud-based environment. - Expertise in designing and implementing scalable backend systems using programming languages such as Node.js, Python. Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and message queuing systems
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and data modeling concepts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and automated testing frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in an agile development environment and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Certifications in backend development, cloud computing, or related fields are a plus.
